The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party approved seven development schemes of various sectors with an estimated cost of Rs 14731.262 million. These schemes were approved in the 23rd meeting of Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) of current fiscal year 2015-16 presided over by the Punjab Chairman P&D Board Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan.

Provincial Secretary P&D Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, members of the Planning & Development Board, Provincial Secretaries concerned and other senior representatives of the relevant Provincial Departments also attended the meeting. According to Spokesman for P&D Department here Monday, the approved development schemes included:

Water Supply Pipeline Extensions Proposed on the existing schemes, District Bahawalpur at the cost of Rs 713.670 million, Project Preparation for Punjab Irrigated Agriculture Investment Program (PIAIP) (PC-II) at the cost of Rs 1017.000 million, Construction of Papin Dam, Tehsil and District Rawalpindi at the cost of Rs 6023.873 million, Widening / Improvement of Road from Kadhala to Malki via Aach to Ghulam Chowk to Kharana Tehsil Kharian L=16.27 km, Gujrat at the cost of Rs 295.790 million, Widening / Improvement of Lahore Jaranwala Faisalabad, Jhang Bhakkar Darya Khan Art-3 road from km No 271.82 to 379.64 length 107.82 km District Bhakkar (Revised) at the cost of Rs 2116.184 million, Construction of bridge over River Jhelum at Langarwala Pattan to Sahiwal in Sargodha & Khushab at the cost of Rs 2195.071 million and Construction of Road and bridge between District Mianwali and Jand (District Attock) (Revised) at the cost of Rs 2369.674 million.
